Sunday School (Stepping Stones)

Sunday School at St Katharines

As a vital part of our Church family, the children and young people join the beginning of our main 10.00am service. They then leave to go to the church hall for teaching about the Christian faith. A creative team of leaders use a wide variety of crafts, music, games and activities to bring to life key themes and bible stories. The Sunday School then join the end of the service again with the rest of the church family. The Sunday School also join in with the worship on the fourth Sunday of each month for our Family Mass when they take part in the service.

Stepping Stones Sunday School is suitable for all children aged 9 and under.

Sunday school prayer:

Holy and loving God

Open our eyes to see you,

Open our minds to trust you

Open our hearts to love you

This week and forever more

Amen

Prayer & Pizza Youth Group

Pray and Pizza Group

Our Prayer and Pizza Youth Group meets most Sundays of the year at 4.30pm in the Church Hall. Children aged 10 or more are encouraged to attend. The group begins with games followed by Hot Chocolates for some light refreshment. Each week a different theme is explored, seeking to encompass the whole of the Christian life. The theme is introduced and explored using games, drama, bible-based activities and craft. Following a period of prayer and reflection the group comes together to enjoy Pizza.

Our youth group regularly enjoys trips to the Cinema, the Bowling Alley and places of interest such as St Davids Cathedral. Every summer for 5 days we attend the Walsingham Youth Pilgrimage.
